Our View on Privacy

At SnowHaze we live privacy. Our products are created to protect your personal data from others - and this includes us, too! That's why we try to give you the best privacy policy possible.

Here is what we collect:

- OPTIONALLY your e-mail address for support, newsletter, and account creation.
- Temporarily your IP address on our VPN servers for rerouting packages back to you.
- Everything you decide to share with us in a support request

Here is what we do not collect:

- We de not use any analytics
- It is possible to create accounts without providing any identifiable information (not even an e-mail address)
- We do not store any logs
- No cookies
- We do not share/sell any data
- We do offer anonymous payment options
- We do not monitor traffic or usage

Definitions

In the following policy, SnowHaze refers to the service offered by Illotros GmbH (the "Company" or "We") through the snowhaze.com website and the software provided through it (the "Service").

Collecting and Using Your Personal Data

SnowHaze Website

We do not collect any personal information on our website. You may optionally provide us with your e-mail address to receive our newsletter. When creating an account, you may optionally provide us with your e-mail address. If you decide to provide us with your e-mail address and decide to opt-in, we use your e-mail address for communication, such as newsletters and billing information. At any time you have the right to opt-out and remove your e-mail address. You can do this in the dashboard, with the unsubscribe button in e-mails or by contacting us.

SnowHaze iOS App

We do not collect any personal information in the iOS App.

SnowHaze VPN

SnowHaze does not monitor or log any user's activity. We only look at the total bandwidth (bandwidth of all users combined on a single server) to know when to expand our servers. Only the IP address is stored temporarily to transfer the data and deleted after the connection has ended.

SnowHaze VPN Client

We do not collect any personal information in the SnowHaze VPN Client.

SnowHaze Support

When you contact our support, we store the information you decide to share with us, such as your e-mail address or information about your system setup. This information is solely used to deal with the support request.

Payments

We provide paid products and/or services within the service. We use third-party services for payment processing (e.g. payment processors). Alternatively, anonymous payment options are available to all users.

We will not store or collect your payment card details. That information is provided directly to our third-party payment processors whose use of your personal information is governed by their privacy policy. These payment processors adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of payment information.

Retention of Your Personal Data

The company will retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy policy.

Disclosure of Your Personal Data

Under certain circumstances, the company may be required to disclose your personal data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court or a government agency).

Foreign authorities' data requests must be approved by competent Swiss authorities.

Under Swiss law, it is obligatory to notify the target of a surveillance request, although such notification may come from the authorities and not from the company.

Your data is exclusively saved on servers in Switzerland, except for the data essential for running the VPN service. These data are saved temporarily on the respective VPN server for the duration of the active connection.

Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us. If We become aware that we have collected personal data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

The Rights of Individuals

You have the right, in certain situations, to request us to correct or delete incorrect personal data regarding you and/or limit the processing. You also have the right to request for a copy of your personal data and a registry extract. However, we cannot give out payment data since the purpose of the processing of the payment data do not require identification of the data subject and would require disproportionate effort for us to further acquire or process additional information to identify the data subject (article 11 in the GDPR).

The registry extract and the copy of personal data will be provided to the data subject (if the personal data are not subject to article 11 in the GDPR) without undue delay and in any event within one month of receipt of the request. If the request is particularly complex or if we receive number of the requests, the period may be extended where necessary. In this event we will inform the data subject of any such extension within one month of receipt the request together with the reason for the delay.

Where the legal basis for the processing is based on a weighing of interests you are as a data subject entitled to object at any time to the processing of your data.
